State police at Frackville barracks were called to two separate incidents involving hunters.
The first incident happened at 11 a.m. Dec. 12 near Ringtown Boulevard, Mahanoy Township. A 40-year-old Frackville man was the victim.
Police said he was hunting off Route 924 in the area of Peddler’s Grave when he encountered a black Polaris Razor UTV driving in the area. Police said the vehicle struck the victim and the driver fled the scene.
The victim was treated at a local hospital, police said.
In the second incident, at 2:37 p.m. Dec. 12, police charged Joseph Lescavage, 47, of Barnesville, with simple trespass.
A 62-year-old man from Ashland called police because Lescavage was hunting on property off of Front Road in Ryan Township that was posted off limits by the resident.
