The Regional Development Corporation, a Pottsville-based agency, will unveil its new Intermediate Care Facility for Mental Retardation located at 409 E. Ludlow St., Summit Hill, at an open house program tonight.

The recently built facility will serve as “home” for eight clients who are referred to REDCO from Mental Health-Mental Retardation agencies in Carbon, Monroe, Pike and Schuylkill counties.

The building measures 100 by 80 feet and is equipped with every modern necessity a regular home would need. It includes five bedrooms (three doubles and two singles), two bathrooms, a double dining room, a huge living room and a kitchen, all handicapped-accessible.
