PPL is reporting numerous power outages because of downed trees and wires throughout the region.

As of 12:45 p.m. Carbon County had 1,451 people without electricity.

In Schuylkill County, 522 were without power, including 174 in West Penn Township, 79 in Walker and 12 in Rush Township.

Monroe County had 975 without power, including some in 24 in Polk, 19 in Eldred and 91 in Chestnuthill townships.

Northampton County had 777 affected, including 92 in Walnutport.

Lehigh County had 994 without power, including 13 in Washington Township.
