Holiday wish list for area nonprofit groups

As the holiday season nears, area groups are busy helping the less fortunate.

Email tneditor@tnonline.com to let us know what the wish list is for your nonprofit group.

Please be sure to include your contact information so people can fulfill your wishes.

We will compile everyone’s lists and run them in the Times News during the holiday season.

Carbon County Dorothy Day House

The Carbon County Dorothy Day House is struggling to provide Christmas gifts for 19 families it is helping support this holiday season.

We are asking for donations of toys such as family board games, art supplies and kits, stuffed animas, dolls and race cars. New clothing sizes 3 months to size 14/16 kids. We are also asking for gift cards so we may buy presents for these families. Donors can also choose to “adopt” a whole family for Christmas and provide presents for all the kids in that family. We have families with two children, and families with up to six children. There are families living in motels, families dealing with grief and single parents.

With your help we can spread some light and joy to some children who’ve had a very tough year.

Reach Ericka Williams-Rodriguez, outreach coordinator and Carbon County Catholic Worker at 908-357-8858 or dorothydaycarboncounty@gmail.com to arrange pickup or delivery.
