The Phi Theta Kappa Monroe Beta Beta Chi Chapter at Northampton Community College held its virtual induction ceremony in November. PTK is the two-year college International Honors Society.
Local students inducted include Alanna Lauter, a general studies student from Effort, and Jessie Scott, a nursing student from Saylorsburg.
Five inductees celebrated their academic achievements with PTK officers, alumni and friends. The guest administrative speaker was Allison Fitzpatrick, vice president of the Monroe Campus. A keynote address was given by NCC alumna Shadae Chambers, and inductees each had the chance to give remarks during the ceremony.
