St. John Lutheran Church

Worship services are being held at the church, 200 E. Mauch Chunk St., Tamaqua at 9:15 a.m. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and everyone is required to wear a mask.

Christmas Eve services will be at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Any questions or concerns about Christmas Eve services, call 570-668-4570. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church

Pastor Ralph Saunders will officiate the 10:25 a.m. service this Sunday at Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church, 824 Catawissa Road, Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes are at 9:15 a.m.

A Christmas candlelight service will be held on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The pastor’s wife, Julie, will be presenting special music.
