The Schuylkill League released an update regarding its winter sports schedules on Wednesday.
The league announced that team championships would be held, and that the basketball playoffs will follow the same format they previously have.
There will be a team wrestling championship this year instead of an individual tournament.
A team swimming championship will also take place rather than the all league swimming and diving competitions.
The format for both the wrestling and swimming team championships will be announced at a later time.
Start dates were also announced for basketball, wrestling and swimming.
League basketball contests will begin on Jan. 8, while wrestling will get underway Jan. 9.
The league swim championship will begin on Jan. 12.
If any league contest cannot be held due to schools not be able to start on approved league start date due to not having the required number of PIAA practices (or COVID issues) or COVID issues during season will be rescheduled on the first available playing date for both teams.
PDF files with the updated schedules for boys and girls basketball, swimming and wrestling are attached.
