The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:

Carbon County

East Side Borough: I-80 inspection between Luzerne County line and Exit 274 (Route 534), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday; I-80 inspection between Exit 274 (Route 534) and Luzerne County line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Penn Forest: Hatchery Road pothole patching between Route 903 and Trachsville Hill Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Lehighton/Mahoning: Route 443/Blakeslee Blvd. pothole patching between Route 209 and county line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

Jim Thorpe: Route 903 road sign work between Water Birch Drive and Sycamore Drive, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Dec. 23.

Monroe County

Stroudsburg Borough: Dreher Avenue inspection between Route 209 and Stroudsburg Borough line, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Pocono Township: I-80 West, crack sealing between Exit 299 and Exit 293, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday.

Multiple townships: I-80 litter removal between Exit 304 (Route 209 to Route 33) and Exit 310 (Route 611), 4 p.m. to midnight through Wednesday.

Hamilton and Stroud townships: Route 209/Hamilton East Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.

Northampton County

Multiple townships: Route 33 highway beautification between Route 22 and Route 512, noon to 6 p.m. through Friday.
