One person was injured Monday afternoon in a crash in Lehighton.

The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Ninth and Bridge streets involved in a sedan and a sport utility vehicle.

The car came to rest facing north on S. Ninth on or near the sidewalk while the SUV came to rest in the intersection facing west.

Lehighton fire police maintained traffic control at the scene. Lehighton police are investigating the incident.
