Four people were injured, three seriously in a crash Monday afternoon along Forest Inn Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

The incident occurred just after 3 p.m. as the operator of the rig was traveling north and lost control rolling the unit onto its side.

Four people were in the cab of the truck tractor. They were treated at the scene by members of the Palmerton ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to the Lehigh Valley hospital trauma center in Allentown.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
