State police at Schuylkill Haven report on the following traffic stops:

• An equipment violation traffic stop at 5:03 p.m. Nov. 25 at the intersection of the Centre Turnpike and Beech Road in Deer Lake resulted in police making a drug possession arrest.

Police said the driver of the 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer was charged after officers detected an odor of marijuana within the vehicle and a subsequent search resulted in police finding marijuana. His name was not released.

• Police stopped a 2005 Toyota Corolla for speeding at the intersection of the Centre Turnpike and Chestnut Ridge Drive in Deer Lake at 12:44 p.m. Nov. 25.

Police said the driver was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and was charged accordingly.
