Rep. Doyle Heffley, R-Carbon, announced Monday that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently experiencing symptoms.
“Unfortunately, I and two of my immediate family members tested positive for COVID-19,” Heffley said. “Please know that my family and I are taking all precautions and safety measures to ensure we do not spread this virus. I have been self-quarantining since Saturday, Nov. 21, and will continue to quarantine until my family and I have recovered and test negative. We also remain under our family physician’s care.”
Heffley has had no recent in-person contact with his district staff, and his office remains open to see residents by appointment only.
