PennDOT makes amendments to Palmerton ramp closures
Due to complications from Sunday’s rain and windstorm, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has amended the schedule for ramp closures into and out of Palmerton as part of a resurfacing project that began earlier this month.
Wednesday marked the start of the amended scheduled for ramp closures, at which time ramps “B & C” from Palmerton to 248 eastbound and from 248 east to Palmerton were closed; ramp “A” from Palmerton to 248 westbound (Bowmanstown) was open; and ramp “D” Route 248 westbound from Walnutport to Palmerton was open.
The amended schedule moving forward is as follows:
Thursday
• Ramps “A & D” Ramps open.
• Ramps “B” from Palmerton to 248 eastbound ramp closed.
• Ramps “C” from 248 east to Palmerton ramp closed.
Friday
• Ramps “A & D” ramps closed.
• Ramps “B” from Palmerton to 248 eastbound ramp open.
• Ramps “C” from 248 east to Palmerton ramp open.
Saturday
• Ramps “A & D” ramps open.
• Ramps “B” from Palmerton to 248 eastbound ramp closed.
• Ramps “C” from 248 east to Palmerton ramp closed.
Sunday
• Ramps “A & D” ramps closed.
• Ramps “B” from Palmerton to 248 eastbound ramp open.
• Ramps “C” from 248 east to Palmerton ramp open.
Monday
• Ramps “A & D” ramps open.
• Ramps “B” from Palmerton to 248 eastbound ramp closed.
• Ramps “C” from 248 east to Palmerton ramp closed.
Tuesday
• Ramps “A & D” ramps open.
• Ramps “B” from Palmerton to 248 eastbound ramp closed.
• Ramps “C” from 248 east to Palmerton ramp closed.
All ramps to be open by 6 p.m., with work completed for winter.
