State police report on Monroe crashes

State police at Stroudsburg reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Monroe County roadways.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 2:25 p.m. Saturday along Interstate 80 in Stroudsburg. Troopers said Brianna M. Dungan, 22, of Stroudsburg, driving a 2007 Hyundai Accent, and Bridget Curreri, 49, of Albrightsville, driving a 2017 Subaru Outback, were both westbound. As the two vehicles were merging into the left lane Dungan’s vehicle struck Curreri’s vehicle in the rear. No one was injured. The Accent had to be towed.

Troopers cited Dungan for following too closely.

A one-vehicle crash was reported at 3:18 a.m. Nov. 12 along Tom X Road, in Middle Smithfield Township. Troopers said Peter J. Ream, 40, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2009 Dodge Grand caravan eastbound at a speed that was not reasonable to be able to come to a complete stop at the intersection with Gravel Ridge Road. Ream drove through the stop sign and was unable to negotiate a right hand turn and drove up an embankment along the berm and came to rest facing eastbound.

Ream was not injured.
