Northampton Community College’s Emerging Technology Applications Center is the recipient of a grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency to provide technical assistance to manufacturers in the eastern half of Pennsylvania.

The EPA Source Reduction Assistance grant provides funding for the center to expand services in support of pollution prevention and waste minimization. Technical assistance will be provided to food and beverage manufacturing, foundries, forgers, metal manufactures and metal fabricators. The technical assistance program will identify pollution prevention opportunities that not only improve the state’s air and water quality, but also reduce operating costs and reporting requirements for the manufacturer.
