Lehighton’s football game at Pocono Mountain West, scheduled for tonight (Thursday, Nov. 12) has been called off and won’t be rescheduled.

The Indians (3-6) and Panthers (3-3) had planned the contingency game since both teams were eliminated from the district playoffs.

Lehighton is coached by Tom McCarroll, while PM West is led by his uncle Jim McCarroll.

Kyle Spotts, the Indians’ Director of Student Services and Facilities Planning, contacted members of the media this afternoon saying they had just been notified from administration at PM West that it needed to cancel the game.
