State police at Frackville reported on an incident involving two Schuylkill County residents recently.

Troopers said on Oct. 3 at 10:13 p.m. they observed a disabled vehicle with a motorist attempting to change a tire along West Centre at North Nicholas streets, in Mahanoy Township. Upon approaching the vehicle, troopers said one of the occupants was in possession of a controlled substance and the other was in possession of a prohibited offensive weapon. Troopers identified the two suspects as Richard Catena, 41, of Tamaqua, and Joseph Rush, 24, of Shenandoah. Charges are pending.
