State police at Frackville

State police at Frackville reported on the following crashes:

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 1:37 p.m. on Friday along Route 61 in New Castle Township. Troopers said Louise C. Dengler, 60, of Frackville, was driving a 2005 Honda CRV northbound when the passenger side front lower control arm wheel assembly snapped. This caused the wheel to dislodge from the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest in the left passing lane.

Dengler and her passenger, Cynthia M. Dengler, 35, of Frackville, were not injured. The vehicle had to be towed.

• A crash was reported at 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 28 along Interstate 81 in Butler Township. Jason R. Wolfe, 39, of Harrisburg, was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu southbound when a deer entered the road in front of him. He could not avoid striking the deer. Wolfe was not injured. Damages to the vehicle were to the engine compartment and it had to be towed.

• Police investigated a two-vehicle crash at 6:32 a.m. on Oct. 18 along Route 924 at Rattling Run Road in East Union Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said John M. Deangelo, 46, of Ringtown, was driving a 2015 Dodge Ram truck eastbound and entered an intersection where his truck struck the rear passenger door of a 2001 Honda CRV driven by Rosa M. Perez-Arias, 46, of Shenandoah. The Ram overturned onto the driver side. Both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles.

Deangelo and his passenger, a 16-year-old girl from Ringtown, and Perez-Arias, all sustained suspected minor injuries and were taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton Campus. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Deangelo was cited for stop sign violation.
