State police at Lehighton report on incidents

State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents:

• On Oct. 25 at 7:34 p.m. troopers responded to Aspen Lane and Serfass Road in Polk Township, for a report of a highly intoxicated woman on the property of a 38-year-old man from Kunkletown. The woman was identified as Suzanne Cullen, 50, of Kunkletown. She was cited for public drunkenness and transported to the county prison in Snydersville.

• On Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. troopers were patrolling the area of 1165 Strohls Valley Road in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, when a woman with two young children approached the patrol vehicle. The woman was later identified as a 26-year-old from Palmerton and the children were ages 2 and 4. The woman was distressed so the children were placed in the police cruiser for safety reasons.

Troopers then located Anthony Ritton, 29, of Lehighton, nearby and determined that Ritton was involved in a verbal/physical altercation with the woman, who had injuries.

Ritton was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and related counts and arraigned before a district justice. He was then remanded to the county prison in Nesquehoning.

• On Oct. 18 at 3:22 p.m. along Beltzville Drive in Polk Township, troopers responded to a protection from abuse violation between a 50-year-old woman, from Kunkletown, and a 49-year-old man from Brodheadsville. As a result the man, who troopers declined to identify, was taken into custody for a PFA violation and lodged in the county prison in Snydersville.

• A 44-year-old man from Palmerton, who troopers declined to identify, has been charged with harassment - physical contact, for an incident on Oct. 25 at 12:10 a.m. along Blose Street in Bowmanstown. Troopers said the man made threats against a 38-year-old woman, also from Palmerton.

• Troopers said a 53-year-old man from Kunkletown reported a new home under construction along Interchange Road at Sherry Drive in Polk Township, was entered. Items taken were a 5-gallon air compressor, a Bosch Bostitch air nailer and an air hose, for a combined value of $500. The incident was reported on Oct. 23 at 11 a.m.

• A criminal mischief incident was reported at 7:50 p.m. Oct. 24.

The victim is a 43-year-old woman from Kresgeville who reported someone threw an unknown object at the window pane of her home in the 700 block of Interchange Road, causing damages to it.

• Troopers are investigating two sexual assault allegations in separate incidents.

On Oct. 23 at 8:35 a.m. troopers responded to a residence along Silver Spring Boulevard in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a report of a child abuse - indecent assault incident. The alleged victim of the incident is a 16-year-old female from Kunkletown. The investigation is continuing. No other details were released.

On Oct. 20 at 11:31 a.m. troopers received information of a possible sexual assault occurring at a residence along Centre Street in Parryville, with a 34-year-old woman from Palmerton the victim. The investigation is continuing with no other details released.
