A 49-year-old Brodheadsville man was lodged in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, on charges that he violated a Protection From Abuse order that is against him after state police at the Lehighton barracks responded to an incident at 3:22 p.m. Oct. 18 along Beltzville Drive in Polk Township.

The victim is a 50-year-old woman from Kunkletown who told officers she and the man were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical, although no injuries were sustained by the victim.

Police said the man turned himself into police at the state police barracks and was subsequently incarcerated.
