A driver is facing a driving under the influence charge in Monroe County.

State police at Stroudsburg said troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash at 2:31 a.m. on Oct. 6 along Route 209 at Beaver Valley Road, in Hamilton Township.

During the investigation it was determined that the driver, a 20-year-old woman from Albrightsville, who troopers declined to identify, was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. She was placed under arrest and charges are to be filed, troopers added.
