The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed Thursday that there were 2,202 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 202,876.
There are 8,762 deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 44 new deaths reported. Out of the state’s total deaths, 5,758 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities.
Approximately 12,264 of our total cases are among health care workers.
Carbon County is reporting 577 cases, an increase of 10 cases. Deaths attributed to COVID-19 remain at 30.
Lehigh County is reporting 6,643 cases, an increase of 50. Deaths remain at 365.
Luzerne County reported an increase of 75 cases, bringing the total to 5,412. One additional death has been reported for a total of 199.
Monroe County has nine new cases, bringing the total to 2,029. Deaths remain at 135.
Northampton County has 5,439 cases, an increase of 46 cases. One additional death has been reported, bringing the total to 312.
Schuylkill County has 2,015 cases, an increase of 57 cases. Three additional deaths have been reported for a total of 91 cases.
