Carbon County officials say that beginning Monday, people will notice modifications to the 76 Susquehanna St. parking lot as the renovation project for the 44 and 76 Susquehanna St. buildings gets underway.
On Thursday, Commissioner Chris Lukasevich said that construction crews will begin site prep for the project and locals and visitors will see some parking changes in the county lots over the next few weeks.
Planning and Development, Workforce and Juvenile Probation have all been relocated out of the first floor of the building.
The Bureau of Elections will remain in 76 Susquehanna St. until the presidential election is completed.
Earlier this month, Carbon County approved nearly $4 million in contracts for the renovation of the two buildings.
The anticipated completion for the renovations to both 44 and 76 Susquehanna St. buildings is August 2021.
