Tamaqua Athletic Director Mike Hromyak has announced that the Friday Oct. 23 football game between North Schuylkill and Tamaqua has been canceled. Hromyak said in a press release that he is “actively searching for a game to replace North Schuylkill.”

That announcement follows on the heels of the cancellation of tonight’s North Schuylkill at Pottsville football game.

No official word has been released by any of the schools involved in the cancellations as to the reason, but COVID-19 concerns in the North Schuylkill School District is believed to be the cause.
