The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:

Carbon County

• Banks Township: Route 309 between Luzerne County and Schuylkill County, roadway base repairs. Daytime lane restrictions, Thursday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Bowmanstown Borough, Palmerton Borough and Lower Towamensing Township: Fireline/Hahns Dairy Road between White Street and Little Gap Road, crack sealing, daytime lane restrictions. Tuesday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Penn Forest Township: Route 903/Highway to Adventure between Maury Road and Monroe County line, shoulder work/widening, daytime lane restrictions. Tuesday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lehigh County

• Upper Macungie Township: Route 22 construction between I-78 and Kuhnsville Exit, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Friday.

• Upper Milford Township: Route 29 crack sealing between Berks County line and I-78, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

• Lowhill: Mill Creek lane restriction with flagging between Route 309 and Game Preserve Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Monroe County

• Tobyhanna Township: I-80 East pothole patching between Carbon County Line and Exit 284 (Route 115), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

Northampton County

• Lower Saucon Township, Bethlehem City, Williams Township: I-78 highway beautification between Exit 75 (To Route 611) and Exit 60 (Route 309), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

• Lehigh Township: Route 145 drainage between Blue Mountain Drive and Lehigh Drive, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; Route 946 drainage between Lehigh Drive and Hoch Road, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

• Bethlehem Township: Route 22 highway beautification between Northampton County line and New Jersey state line, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

• Various townships: Route 22 line painting between Lehigh County line and New Jersey state line, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Route 33 line painting between Monroe County line and I-78, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Schuylkill County

• Rush Township: Route 309 bridge repair between Tide Road and Grove Street, there will be a long-term single lane condition on Route 309 South to facilitate bridge repairs to the Route 309 structure over Blue Mountain Railroad. Please use caution. Friday through Dec. 22.

• Ryan Township: I-81 North inspection between Exit 124 (Route 61) and Exit 131 (Route 54), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

• Kline: I-81 South inspection Exit 134 (Delano) and Luzerne County line, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
