St. John Lutheran

The Rev. Phyllis Wolford will officiate at the 9:15 a.m. Sunday service in St. John’s Lutheran Church. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and masks are required.

Confirmation class will follow the worship service.

Rush-Ryan Senior Citizens

The Rush-Ryan-Delano Senior Citizens met on Sept. 22 at Christ Church, Barnesville.

Anniversaries celebrated were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Herb, 55 years and Mr. and Mrs. William Godanis, 14 years. The Herbs donated the food and bird pillows that were chanced off. The were assisted by Nancy Nunemacher and Shirley Kaiser.

The group meets at 1 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at Christ Church, Barnesville.

Anyone 55 or older is invited to attend.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Please wear a mask.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Ralph Saunders will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Calvary Evangelical Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes are held at 9:15 a.m.

There will be a Sunday evening service of praise and sharing at 6:30 p.m. and prayer meeting on Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.

Sunday school Rally Day is scheduled for Oct. 18 at 10:25 a.m. The evening service will feature The Good News Travelin’ Band of Hamburg. Call 570-668-9111 for more information.

Lewistown Valley Garden Club

The Lewistown Valley Garden Club held its first meeting for the year on Sept. 22, at which three new members were welcomed.

There were many beautiful arrangements and specimens displayed and enjoyed by all.

The next meeting is the annual dinner meeting, to be held Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. at the New England Fire Company.

Reservations are required by Oct. 17 and can be made by calling Louise Flexer at 570-467-3400. The cost of the dinner is $20. New members are always welcome.
