The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed Tuesday that there were 1,036 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 165,243.
There are 8,244 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 17 new deaths reported.
Schuylkill County’s case count jumped by 20 since Monday, bringing the total to 1,297. Deaths remained level at 58.
Carbon County is reporting four new cases, bringing the total to 482 cases. There are 28 deaths.
In Lehigh County, there are 24 new cases, bringing the total to 5,805. An additional death is reported for a total of 356 deaths.
Luzerne County reported 4,222 cases, an increase of 13. There are 190 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
Monroe County has 1,831 cases, an increase of two since Monday. There are 134 deaths.
In Northampton County, there are 4,638 cases, an increase of 32, with 305 deaths.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 23,380 resident cases of COVID-19, and 5,196 cases among employees, for a total of 28,576 at 992 distinct facilities in 61 counties. Out of our total deaths, 5,497 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities.
Approximately 11,059 of our total cases are among health care workers.
