Road work this week
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:
Carbon County
• Jim Thorpe/Lansford: Lentz Trail crack sealing between Broadway and Route 902, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
• Weatherly/Lausanne: Buck Mountain Road crack sealing between Main Street and Larry Town Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
• Penn Forest/Kidder townships: Route 903/Highway to Adventure lane restriction with flagging in both directions between Maury Road and Monroe County Line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Franklin/Penn Forest townships: Maury Road crack sealing between Long Run Road and Route 903, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
Lehigh County
• Upper Macungie Township: Route 22 construction between I-78 and Kuhnsville Exit, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.
• South Whitehall Township: Route 22 at Turnpike Exit milling and paving between Route 309 and Kunhsville Exit, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday.
• Various municipalities: Route 22 shoulder work between I-78 and Northampton County Line, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• South and North Whitehall townships: Route 309 surveying between Walbert Avenue and Shankweiler Road, restrictions in place at all times of the day beginning Monday and ending Dec. 31, 2020.
Monroe County
• Stroud Township: Stokes Mill Road shoulder work and widening between Route 191 and Mill Creek Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday; King Street shoulder work and widening between Business Route 209 and Mill Creek Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday; Phillips Street shoulder work and widening between Route 611 and Route 191, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
• Stroud/Pocono Township: I-80 operations between Exit 310 (Delaware Water Gap) and Exit 298 (Scotrun), 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; Route 33 shoulder work at interchanges between I-80 and Northampton County line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
No reported road work for Schuylkill or Northampton counties.
