The Pennsylvania Department of Health Monday confirmed that there were 676 new cases, in addition to 918 new cases reported on Sunday for a two-day total of 1,594 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 156,826.

There were six new deaths reported Sunday and one new death reported for Monday for a total of 8,107 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

Carbon County is reporting three additional case for a total of 465, with 28 deaths.

Lehigh County has 5,637 positives, an increase of 40 cases, with 353 deaths.

Luzerne County has 26 additional cases, for a total of 4,114. One additional death is reported for a total of 190.

Monroe County has 1,797 cases, an increase of seven, with 133 deaths.

In Northampton County, there are 4,503 cases, an increase of 27, with 305 deaths.

In Schuylkill County, 38 more cases have been confirmed, for a total of 1,160. There are 52 deaths.
