Kyle Hagenbuch’s fiancee said she is trying to continue on without him, but it is tough.
“When he passed, my heart went with him. I’m not the same person anymore,” Kailey Frable said Friday.
Often she misses his daily presence in her life for everyday routine things.
She attended the preliminary hearings Friday for Dasean Damont Morris, the 18-year-old York man charged in his death. Hagenbuch, 26, of Lehighton, died Aug. 2 after being shot July 31 in the city.
He leaves a daughter, Aubrey; stepson, Brayden, and other family and friends who love him. He was a member of the semiprofessional football team the Carbon County Savages.
“It has been a great loss for many people. What was done was a terrible thing,” she said.
Frable expressed frustration of how slow the process is.
“I just want justice for Kyle, myself, the children his family and friends,” she said.
She said the children are “heartbroken.”
“There is often times they breakdown and cry,” she said.
Frable didn’t explain the details of his death to the children.
“I just explained daddy went to heaven and he will constantly be watching over you, and he will be their angel,” Frable said.
