• The pedestrian crash occurred about 1:18 p.m. on Sept. 6 along Rock Street in Franklin Township, Carbon County, at the entrance to a campground. Troopers said S.B. Isaac-Norville, 64, of Cambria Heights, New York, was driving a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and leaving the campground to enter Rock Street when she struck a 6-year-old boy from East Stroudsburg, who ran into the path of the Jeep. • A two-vehicle crash was reported at 2:34 p.m. on Sept. 9 at the intersection Route 115 and Flyte Road in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Mohammad Naeem, 63, of Blakeslee, was driving a 2012 GMC Savana southbound on 115 when he slowed down for traffic in front of him making a right turn. Daniel T. Cosgrove, 28, of Effort, was behind Naeem and failed to see him slowing down. The front of Cosgrove’s 2016 Subaru Legacy hit the rear of the Savana. Cosgrove, Naeem and his passenger, Dinesh Grover, 63, of Stroudsburg, were all not injured. The Subaru was towed.
Troopers cited Cosgrove for following too closely.
• A three-vehicle crash was reported at 1:14 p.m. on Aug. 29 at the intersection of Route 209 and Sherry Drive, in Polk Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Zachary Andress, 23, of Lehighton, was driving a 2017 Ford Taurus eastbound on 209 and approaching a 2008 Saturn Aura driven by Ashley Mosier, 19, of Palmerton, who was stopped for a 2016 Toyota Highlander driven by Jacek Polak, 43, of Thorton, Colorado. As Andress approached the crest of a hill his vehicle struck the Saturn in rear with the Saturn then striking the Highlander.
No injuries were reported. The Ford and Saturn had to be towed.
Andress was cited for following too closely.
• Two vehicles were damaged in a crash at 12:37 p.m. Sept. 15 at the intersection of Interchange (Route 209) and Harrity roads in Polk Township.
State police at Lehighton said the crash occurred when a 2005 Ford Focus operated by Hannah K. Besecker, 24, of Stroudsburg, traveling north on Route 209, failed to yield for stopped traffic. The Focus struck the rear of a 2007 Subaru Impreza which was driven by Dallas R. Miata, 26, of Lehighton. Police said the Subaru was stopped for traffic, turning left onto the Harrity Road when it was struck.
After the initial impact with the Subaru, the Focus continued to travel on the right shoulder of the road before striking a tree, police said.
Neither driver was injured. Borger’s Towing assisted police at the scene.
Police said Besecker was cited for a registration and title violation.
