The Carbon County Commissioners yesterday announced the appointment of Joseph J. Bonner, 254 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill, as an emergency substitute driver for the county’s Area Agency on Aging.

This came on the recommendation of Leonard F. Marzen Jr., agency director, and Bonner succeeds Joseph O’Donnell, Summit Hill, who resigned to take a full-time position as a bus driver with the Panther Valley School District.

Bonner will be paid $3.10 per hour.

In another personnel matter, the commissioners appointed Ann Honzo, Palmerton, as a Manpower program caseworker in the Children’s Services Bureau. She will be paid $9,604 annually.
