A search is going on in Columbia County for a Schuylkill County man who police said is suffering from mental health issues.

State police at Bloomsburg said on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Joshua Lindenmuth, 27, of Shenandoah, along Route 61 near St. Ignatious Cemetery, in Centralia, fled from a vehicle being operated by his mother. He fled in an eastern direction toward the First United Methodist Church of Mount Carmel cemetery. Troopers said the area of searched by troopers, a state police helicopter and by people on 4-wheelers with negative results.

The search continued on Sunday and Monday. It is not known if the search was to resume today.
