State police at Stroudsburg reported on recent crashes:
• A one-vehicle crash occurred at 3 p.m. on Sept. 18 along Possinger Drive in Jackson Township, Monroe County.
Troopers said Antonio L. Castro, 22, of Stroudsburg, was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 truck northbound when he failed to drive at a safe speed while negotiating a left curve. The truck traveled off the road and struck a tree head-on. Castro and his passenger, Joshua D. Nelson, 24, of Albrightsville, were not injured.
Castro was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.
• Another one-vehicle crash was reported at 11:11 a.m. on Sept. 15 along Sugar Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.
Police said Nicholas A. Jozefowicz, 38, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2002 Ford Escape southwest when he became distracted while trying to plug in his cellphone. He lost control going around a left curve in the road. The Escape left the roadway and crashed into a utility pole. After impact the Escape continued off the road and crashed into a large tree where it came to rest.
Jozefowicz sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment.
