The National Weather Service says thunderstorms are in the forecast today with up to a half an inch of rain possible. Here’s the latest forecast:
Today: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Areas of fog before 9 a.m. High near 81. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tonight: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 a.m., then a slight chance of showers between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. North wind 5 to 10 mph.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. Northeast wind around 5 mph.
