September 9, 1961 - A 17-yard extra point proves to be the difference as Coaldale pulls out a 13-12 victory over McAdoo. The Tigers break a 6-6 tie early in the fourth quarter on a 7-yard touchdown run by Mike Panchura. On the point after, a holding penalty pushes the ball back, but a pass from Bill Edwards to Dick Miller connects for the added tally. McAdoo scores late in the contest, but Coaldale’s defensive line stops a run attempt on the conversion try to preserve the lead. Ed Kassak adds a 2-yard TD run earlier in the contest, which was set up by a Bob Urban blocked punt.
