State police at Frackville reported on three driving under the influence arrests made by troopers in Schuylkill County.
• A crash was reported at 4:59 p.m. on Aug. 22 along Interstate 81 in Ryan Township. Troopers said Tyler Moore, 30, of Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, was operating a Yamaha motorcycle, and Terra Bertin, 33, also of Jersey Shore, was driving a Kia van, both northbound, when the bike hit the rear of the van. After impact Moore was thrown from the bike and came to rest in a grass area of the shoulder of the road. Moore was taken by medical helicopter to the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Bertin was not injured.
Troopers said Bertin was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East, Pottsville, for a blood drawn. A DUI charge is pending the test results.
• On Aug. 23 at 11:40 a.m. troopers responded to a report of a disabled motorist along Route 54 eastbound near the intersection of Tuscarora Mountain Road, in Ryan Township. The driver was identified as Shawn Bergmann, 50, of Sweet Valley, Luzerne County. He displayed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for DUI. He was taken to the barracks for a breath test. Charges were filed.
• The third arrest occurred on Aug. 22 at 12:26 p.m. when troopers made a traffic stop along North Main at East Coal streets, in Shenandoah. The driver was identified as Jamie Linford, 21, of Ringtown. She showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. She was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Charges will be filed.
