September 4, 1987 - Lehighton’s Bill Dreisbach and Sue Anthony both finish first in their respective races to lead the Indians to wins in their season-opening cross country meets. Dreisbach crosses the line in 18:15 as the Lehighton boys post a 16-42 decision over Saucon Valley. The winners take the top four places, as Steve Hahn, Rodney Rehnert and Joe Keer finish behind Dreisbach. In the girls meet, Anthony posts a time of 21:02 during a 20-36 victory. The Indians’ Mary Anthony places second with teammate Rochelle Youngkin taking third.
