A driver fled the scene of a Carbon County crash leaving the vehicle behind.

State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred at 2:53 p.m. on July 30 along Route 903, south of the intersection with Weiler Road, in Penn Forest Township. Troopers said a 2002 Lincoln MKZ was traveling southbound when the driver lost control. The vehicle left the road and struck a tree. The driver then fled the scene prior to the arrival of troopers. The Lincoln was towed from the scene.
