Franklin Township Maroon won its opening game of the Parkland Youth League fall baseball season this past Saturday with a 7-3 victory over South Parkland at Christman Field.

Hayden Dyer pitched five scoreless innings and struck out seven to earn the win.

Franklin Township received three hits and an RBI from Brady O’Donnell, while Noah Barndt added a pair of hits and knocked in two runs. Talen Sensinger chipped in with a triple, and Tyler Poole contributed a double.

The winners took the lead with a three-run second inning and added a pair of runs in both the fourth and sixth frames.

For South Parkland, Mackaden Parsell finished with two hits.

FT Maroon returns to action this weekend when it hosts Moore Township on Saturday and travels to Lower Macungie Blue on Sunday.
