Dorothy Soley Macenka and Joseph A. Macenka of Coaldale recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Natives of Lansford, the couple was married on July 16, 1955, in St. John’s Greek Catholic Church, Lansford, and spent the early years of their marriage living in Hometown before moving to Hershey to raise their family.

Dorothy, a longtime production worker at Hershey Foods Company, and Joseph, a civilian employee at New Cumberland Army Depot, returned to Schuylkill County upon retirement and have made their home in Coaldale.

They remain active members and volunteers at St. Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church, Coaldale.

They are the parents of Anna Marie (John) Mantey of Matthews, North Carolina, and Joseph (Jody) Macenka of Richmond, Virginia, and Avon, North Carolina.
