The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported Saturday that there are 796 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 128,429. Philadelphia is reporting an increase of 115 cases.
There are 7,576 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 18 new deaths reported. In nursing and personal care homes, there are 20,665 resident cases of COVID-19, and 4,368 cases among employees, for a total of 25,033 at 914 distinct facilities in 61 counties. Out of our total deaths, 5,125 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities.
Approximately 9,276 of our total cases are among health care workers.
Carbon County reported two more case, for a total of 413. There are 28 deaths.
Lehigh County had seven new cases for a total of 5,119, with 342 deaths.
In Luzerne County, 12 new cases were reported for a total of 3,678, with an additional death for 186 deaths.
Monroe County reported two more cases, bringing the total to 1,688 cases, with 127 deaths.
Northampton had 4,050 cases, an increase of one case. There are 296 deaths.
Schuylkill County reported seven new cases, bringing the total to 970 cases, with 51 deaths.
