It is an open meeting.

Party continues

An open community event Friday and Saturday, Party at the Pavilion, is offered by Post 927 from 5 to 9 p.m. each of those evenings.

Sunday services

Effort UMC envisions this coming Sunday’s service to be live, with services outside in the pavilion at 8:30 and 11 a.m.

Attendees are asked to bring their own chair, wear a mask, sanitize one’s hands and follow social distancing rules.

PVGA going live

Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, Brodheadsville, envisions starting its two-worship service format on Sunday, with services at 9 and 11 a.m.

Attendees were to receive an email with registration options earlier this week, giving worshippers an opportunity to indicate which service he or she plans to attend as children’s services will only be available at the 11 a.m. service.

Contact the church for the appropriate sites.

In case the two-service option does not satisfy, the church will continue to have its services streamed live on Facebook and YouTube.

Bidding farewell

Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, Brodheadsville, has bid Pastor Joe and Nancy Travato’s farewell as of last Sunday, as the Pastoral Care Pastors at Pleasant Valley.

They have served in that capacity close to seven years.

The congregation honored that service with cards, handwritten letters and gifts, as the duo goes to a new adventure of ministering to those in need.
