A Brooklyn, New York, man who state police said was clocked at traveling 95 mph on Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township eludes police but they eventually located the runaway vehicle at the Pocono Raceway and charged the man.

Police said they pursued Andrae Purcell, 25, driving a BMW M3 on the interstate on Aug. 8, weaving in and out of traffic, and the chase proceeded onto routes 115 and 940 before it was terminated by the officer. Through an investigation, police learned of an event being held at the raceway, where they went and located the offending vehicle.

Police said they located Purcell, took him into custody with applicable charges and transported him to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, where he was housed on related charges.
