A Saylorsburg man, a registered sex offender charged earlier this month with stalking, is now facing more offenses.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Trooper Justin Leri of the Pennsylvania State Police, Stroudsburg barracks in the case against Rocky Sokolowski:
Leri was conducting an investigation related to stalking and invasion of privacy by Sokolowski, 36, and during the course of the investigation, Sokolowski was arrested on the charges.
Additionally, Sokolowski was also charged with failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements, and failing to provide accurate information.
On Aug. 6, Sokolowski was taken into custody after an investigation related to incidents of stalking and invasion of privacy of multiple women and children throughout Monroe County between July 26-Aug. 13.
In addition to these charges, Sokolowski was also charged with failing to provide accurate information for his Megan’s Law registration.
He was arraigned, and subsequently posted $100,000 bail.
On Friday, Sokolowski was again charged with stalking and invasion of privacy charges for an incident that occurred at the Rite-Aid along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township on July 26 after following, photographing and smelling a female victim.
Additionally, Sokolowski was charged with failing to updae his residency for Megan’s Law after being released from the Monroe County Correctional Facility on Aug. 7.
Sokolowski was arraigned by District Judge Thomas Shiffer of Stroudsburg, with bail set at a combined $200,000.
