State police at Hazleton report incidents

State police at Hazleton report the following incidents:

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 8:28 a.m. on July 27 along Route 93 (Broad Street), in Beaver Meadows borough, Carbon County.

State police at Hazleton said Jayden C. Hensley, 26, of Lehighton, and Patrick White, 34, of Philadelphia, were both northbound. White began to slow down due to downed electrical wires. The front of Hensley’s 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee struck the rear of White’s 2018 Ford transit van. The Jeep had to be towed.

Troopers cited Hensley for following too closely.

• A Schuylkill County man was cited for an incident at his place of employment in Luzerne County.

State police at Hazleton said troopers were dispatched on July 18 at 1:58 a.m. to the American Eagle warehouse located at 600 Oakridge Road, in Hazle Township, for an intoxicated employee who would not leave the premises.

Troopers made contact with a 27-year-old man from Middleport, who they declined to identify. He was found with a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. He was charged with drug possession, troopers said.
