A woman driving on Laurel Drive just north of the intersection of White Bear lost control, entering the east berm where she hit a tree. The tree snapped off, falling on the roadway and the car came to rest on its side. The woman was extricated from the wreckage by members of the Summit Hill and Lansford fire departments. She was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a nearby trauma center. Summit Hill police are investigating the incident.
