Beahm’s hit lifts Palmerton
Palmerton gained a walkoff win over South Parkland in Connie Mack action Friday.

Connor Beahm’s two-out hit in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday drove in Randon Solt with the winning run as Palmerton walked off South Parkland by a 5-4 score.
After the Trojans plated two runs in the top of the frame to tie the score, Solt led off the home seventh with a single. D. Rumfield sacrificed Solt to second and a grounder to first moved the winning run over the third. Beahm dropped a hit to left to give the Blue Bombers the victory.
Beahm finished with two hits and two RBIs, while Solt scored three runs. Ty Sander added a run and an RBI.
Beahm was also Palmerton’s starting pitcher, tossing five innings. He allowed three hits and one run while striking out six.

Tamaqua-Pine Grove
Pine Grove rode a hot start to an 8-2 win over Tamaqua in a Schuylkill-Berks Independent League contest Thursday.
Ethan Hannevig and Brandon Aungst had two hits apiece for the Grovers, who erased a two-run deficit with four runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Hayden Paukstis, Karson Felty and Brandon Unger had two RBIs apiece in the win.
Mason Moyer had two hits and a run scored for Tamaqua, while Tate Ligenza added a hit and an RBI.
