State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents:
• Troopers reported on road rage incident that occurred on July 7 about 7 p.m. along Route 209 at Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Daniel Hayes, 45, of Effort, reported that the suspect, identified as Bernard Pawlewicz, 74, of Albrightsville, was tailgating him. Hayes said he pulled over at the parking lot of the CVS pharmacy. Hayes said when he exited his vehicle to see what the problem was, Pawlewicz pointed a black handgun at his chest from inside his vehicle. Hayes said words were exchange and the parties left.
The county district attorney’s office was contacted and charges of simple assault and harassment were approved and filed against Pawlewicz.
• On July 12 about noon troopers were dispatched to a domestic argument involving a man with a gun at 823 Fawn View Road in Chestnuthill Township. A woman told police that Dariusz Polanski, 24, of Blakeslee, had a firearm concealed within his pants. It was later found that Polanski did not have a license to carry a gun and was then placed under arrest for terroristic threats and other charges. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville. Records indicate he has been released from the prison.
• A 34-year-old Blakeslee man was locked up in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, after a traffic stop made by police at 12:26 a.m. July 8 in Tunkhannock Township.
Police said he was driving a 2004 Dodge that was stopped at the intersection of Flame and Candle drives in Tunkhannock Township after they observed it crossing over the fog line several times and having an illegible registration plate on it. The officers said he was observed to be impaired and in possession of a controlled substance and related contraband.
Police said he was taken into custody and taken to the jail where he consented to a chemical test of his blood.
