Summit Hill Borough Council has decided to meet with representatives of all civic and fraternal organizations and churches in the town to discuss construction of a swimming pool in that community.
Council met recently with an agent from a swimming pool firm in Harrisburg who estimated a pool 110 by 50 feet with locker room facilities, a concession stand and boardwalks would cost in the neighborhood of $75,000.
While no definite decision has been made, the probability of placing additional millage on borough taxes to pay for the pool will be discussed. The councilmen said they will also be discussing possible sites for the pool at the session.
